Prefab House on the Hill in a remote location
This complex manufactured home is located on the top of the hill near Granite Falls, Washington, about an hour from Seattle. The site has a lot of beauty around, but has no electricity, water or roads. Because conditions prefabricated structure was chosen to overcome the difficult nature of the site. The frame is coated steel panels 4 by 22 feet, acting like walls. The panels follow a simple pattern that leaves an open space for the spectacular floor to ceiling windows throughout the house that captures impressive views around. Many things around the house are custom made by artists who happened to be friends of the owner. While manufactured homes are generally simple and no different from the other, this house designed by Anderson Anderson Architecture became really unique home.
