Great Residence with Vineyard Meadow and Oak Forest
Located on a hillside in Napa Valley, California this large residence was designed by Cutler Anderson Architects. The site is separated in three distinct areas: the vine, prairie and oak forest. The main body of L-shaped house has two open sides of pre-defined forest, which serves as a playground for children observable. A studio that is placed in oak groove is connected to the house on foot trellised. A guest house is placed in the vineyard and is connected to the main house by a bridge that is attached to the knee to the rows of vines. The buildings themselves are made of mud walls beaten on non-private sides and pillars rammed earth and wood frame on accessible sides land.
