Relaxing and inspiring modern home in neutral colors
Find inspiration in the work of Tadao Ando, a couple of Houston designed the concrete house of their dreams. Designers Christopher Robertson and Robertson Vivi Nguyen-designed their home as a sequence which runs from simple geometric shapes: a low concrete wall, a concrete cube, and a boxclad in Siberian larch. The interior decor is minimalist but very welcoming, but there is a lot of concrete in the design, the colors of wood and neutral warm colors are cozier. Located next to the kitchen, Vivi office disappears behind walls covered sliding black chalkboard paint. The low windows in the master bedroom focus the view on the backyard, not the neighbors, and the bed is placed on a platform for the same reason. This residence looks really relaxing and it invites you to spend as much time as you have.
