House almost half of the external walls of glass - Duncan House
The Duncan House by Gareth Hoskins Architects is in a walled garden listed Fife, Scotland. It could be called "glass house" because nearly half of the exterior walls are glass. The house plan is defined by two thick, white rendered masonry walls contrasting with the gray whinstone existing garden walls. These walls emphasize the connections between old and new, inside and outside. The walls are thick in the plan to conceal closets, cabinets, tracks service window seats and fireplaces, so that key areas are clean and uncluttered, with their main focus on the garden. The interior is made in a simple minimalist style to highlight the beauty of the outdoors.
