Kangaroo Valley House is on nursing homes that are designed to fullfil their needs. Located in outback Australia and designed by Michael Alexander for himself, the house is separated in two parts, one with the main living area, the other with two bedrooms. Surface is essentially a simple rectangular space with a polished concrete floor, eighty percent walled retractable glass and single-span composite wood beams that support the roof sub-ceiling. The roof of the house is designed to cover twenty-seven meters of long reflection pond and terrace to make excellent places to relax outdoors. The area where the weekend is was sunny so the roof also features twenty panels of photovoltaic cells to capture solar energy.
