Designed by KOT project, the architecture of this apartment in Tel Aviv is home to a famous fashion designer and his partner, a media figure. The design depicts an intersection between the rich aesthetic of the 50s and 70s with the cleanliness of the current design. The owners have requested large and functional spaces and ample storage. Planning has prompted many conversations about the lifestyle, practical use, recreation, natural lighting, and work requirements. Before the renovation, the apartment had two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen; the soil on the roof had a loft of 10 m2. The design concept for the staircase leading to the creation of a restriction and functional space -. Perceiving enveloping walls of the structure as an outer shell for an inner hub
custom carpentry and welding units added by the KOT the interior space project structure, each function is a unit that contains it. In addition, 40 m2 of lightweight construction (steel structure and the aluminum roof) were added to the soil on the roof. The 74 m2 on the first floor now consists of an open space for the living room, kitchen, dining table (with a guest bathroom closed), and the master bedroom unit with a closet and bathroom bathroom bungalow. The floor 64 m2 roof holds an additional living room, kitchen and small dining table, and a guest bedroom and bathroom. A paved balcony of 24 m2 is attached to the parameter.
During the planning process, the focus was on natural lighting, the relationship between public outdoor spaces and private interior spaces, as well as inside. Each item in the apartment was carefully chosen: leather chairs on an iron frame in the 1970s, glass tables, antique lamps found in Athens, woven rugs hand, Missoni textile upholstery Andrew Martin, a crock of Tibet, a painting original oil from a private collection and more. toilets and bathroom serve as focal blue and turquoise dots that break down wood and black theme exposed in the main space once the door is open.
