This house is designed by Minday and located in rural Iowa, Okoboji Lake. The whole design is focused on the lake and consists of a series of space images which also offers private and public spaces. The lake itself is surrounded by many oak trees that form a canopy around the beautiful lake, separating the extent of agricultural lands beyond. The frames of the house also provides homeowners with more privacy when they are at home. The living rooms are open to the view of the lake and the woods, but visually closed to neighboring sides. The exterior of the house is Ipe panels cladding, concrete, aluminum and sustainably harvested. The interior continues the theme of naturalism and also has a large number of wooden details and neutral colors.
