Modern Family Rural Home Made Of 100 years Beams
This remarkable Canadian modern house in the scanning hayfields is a wonderful example of a modern country house open to nature. The house is built from 100 years old beams recovered from a series of warehouses collected by industrial designer Omer Arbel. Not a single plank recovery was cut or modified, giving the house its distinctive geometric look, described by Arbel like a piece of origami in the landscape. The interior is modern and covered with many different wood - walls, floors, ceilings and furniture, and making the most comfortable of the house. I love lights and glass walls that allow nature to go inside and merging with the inside becoming its part.
