Minimalist yet modest Beautiful Desert House Design
House Tubac is located in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. It is one of several houses in the deserts designed by Rick Joy. Even if the house is quite modest, it is beautiful and catchy. As usual houses, it has a garden and courtyard, but the plants there are cactus. The entire cactus is like oasis because of its cool shadows, the sound of water, the smell of flowers and so on. It features a cutaway view of Tumacacaori Park, which is located nearby. A negative edge pool located on the west end of the court extends the experience of this view. The coarseness of the outside rough steel contrasts with the refinement of the interior palette white plaster, stainless steel, maple and translucent glass. Bay windows of the steel shapes can enter the building in seemingly random places, but carefully selected to frame specific views storms and distant mountain ranges. [Rick Joy]
