Cool Design Courtyard - Courtyard Mt Baker
Everyone wants a cool place in their home where they can spent while good weather. This fresh court is such a place. An ancient hill oozing with bad drainage and difficult routes was transformed into a coherent urban oasis in its design. New bridges circumscribe the living space open primary air while offering direct access from the garage and went to the locker room and kitchen. Privacy was achieved by an architectural concrete wall that reinforces the separation of the alley and hides a new parking space while a heavy wooden lattice buffers the garage. Modern elements are detailed to respect the traditional context. The court whatever the owner may need to get some quality time during the day and night. [Tyler Engle Architects]
