Compact modern apartment with a lot of plywood Decor
The two levels, 639 sq ft flat in a row house Victorian in Hermon Hill, London, had been stripped of its original detail and was a blank slate when London architect Carl Trenfield first seen. The architect decided to apply a simple pattern, craft led him to create a modern look for the apartment. The upper floor is open and has a seating area in the front, a dining area in the middle, and a kitchen at the back. A plywood strip wraps around the superset uniting the visual space. The plywood staircase is detailed with a design points and cross referencing the decorative designs of William Morris. The apartment leaves a warm and comfortable feeling, and all the necessary things are included - Engineering
