Beach House in wood and surrounded by offices
This beach house was inspired by the famous architect William Bay Area Wurster, who designed the house earlier that burned on site. It is designed by Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects to capture the spirit of the original house while respecting the seismic codes and federal requirements for homes in coastal areas at high risk. The structure is on wooden posts with bracing rod as a fishing pier, which can perform the floodwaters below. major rooms are surrounded by terraces and outdoor living spaces that take full advantage of the views of both the Pacific Ocean and the Marin Hills. The flanking wings for living room and dining room are included for use throughout the year and become the pavilions of nature in bright viewing overlooking the ocean. The ramp has evolved into a sort of amphitheater-staircase. Natural materials around the house are well suited to the site and dream place to live. [Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects]
