Internet of things is limited to well, just the Internet. It now includes the furniture. In fact, the Lift-Bit (not to be confused with Fitbit or other bits), is "the first Internet-couch things in the world." First unveiled at Milan Design Week this year, the sofa was created by international design and innovation society Carlo Ratti Associati with the assistance of Vitra.

The Lift-Bit is a modular furniture system that transform the couch to chair, in bed, in the lounge chair ... for anything else your creativity dream up. It consists of a group of bright green, padded stools that are powered by a linear actuator. This means that the cushions on the stool may be raised or lowered. In addition, it can be controlled by gestures, or course, a mobile application.

The Lift-bit system is also good to keep entertained. When "bored", it will start shapeshifting into different configurations to keep users on their toes.
