Two houses on adjacent sites - Thorp House by Pete Bossley Architects
This project is one of those rare works when it is necessary to design two homes on adjacent sites. Buildings are simple in form but different in the plan and materials. Although they look like in harmony with each other, they are not symmetrical. They both are about 500 square meters and two floors. They stretched the form to create intimate courtyards filled with light with channels filled with water flowing. A variety of spaces exist in buildings ranging from double height living areas open to view of the sea, more internalized rooms nestled in the fall of land at the end of most road sites.
