designer David Ericsson furniture designed a chair that focuses on appreciation of wood as a material and all it can do. The sculptural Hedwig, designed for the Swedish manufacturer Gärsnäs, was created as a way to honor his wife, who loves to read and drink tea, with a comfortable and pleasant place to sit.

salient features of the chair are the circular mini-tables on each armrest that are designed to hold a glass, or for his wife, a cup of tea. Another way the chair pays tribute -. he named Hedwig as is the name she wanted to be called as a young child

The frame of the chair is made of beech wood with natural solid seat and back covered in either a vegetable tanned leather in different colors, or black, natural brown, light, or natural cloth. Hedwig is also available with seat and back cushions.
