The name refers to the biblical expression "hupomone" which is usually translated to mean "patient and firm." When the customer acquired the property, the ranch had been fallow for over 30 years. The owners wanted to build a barn house that reflects their commitment to sustainable agriculture, tapping into the natural serenity of the site and build on the sense of place in west Petaluma.
