Unusual Tropical House Design - Leaf House in Brazil
House of Leaves is designed by Mareines and Patalano Arquitetura and near Rio de Janeiro on a beautiful small beach with amazing blue water. Its design is inspired by Indian architecture Brazil perfectely which is suitable for hot and humid climate. The roof reminiscent of a flower is like a large sheet that protects from the sun all enclosed spaces of the house. The house is perfect for social gatherings and parties due to its comfortable verandas and open spaces between the two chambers. The open design also takes advantage of the trade winds of the sea, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling. There are no corridors and inside and outside are almost merged. Rainwater is collected from the roof for reuse. With natural finishes, organic aesthetics and rich details, the house is in harmony with nature exuberant brazilian.
