Adrianus Kundert and Thomas van der Sman studio oddness in Eindhoven are fascinated by Amorph and random structures. For them, these two are the antithesis of what is commonly seen in a world of design that does not generally accept a random process for creation. After a chance encounter (Kundert complimented the work of van der Sman before realizing he was hers!), Both founded their studio and launched their first series entitled Bubblegraphy.

By giving the odd (the bubbles) a frame (the vases), Kundert and van der Sman are able to produce a tangible item, singular that embodies the definition of chance. The duo uses a technique of special soap air blowing into the glaze for creating beautiful organic patterns. At present, the vases are completely hand made by the two, who believe it is important for them to be connected to the products they create, especially with the last step to give the vases their models unique. Ideally, Kundert and van der Sman would put off the portion of the ceramic production process in a factory, while retaining the last step, the most important for themselves so they can focus on new products.

We'll be looking forward to their next collection!
