Spazio Pontaccio launches Stained Glass Furniture Collection
before photo gallery during Milan design Week this year, Spazio Pontaccio presents an exclusive collection of furniture by Patricia Urquiola and Federico Pepe. The capsule collection, Hutch, meaning combines modern design with graphics Urquiola skills Pepe using windows a fresh and modern way.
Inspired by stained glass found on the holy sites, such as those designed by Gerhard Richter for Cologne Cathedral, the colorful series met when designers were invited to find ground with holy inspiration and modern design. Use, contemporary graphic patterns and fun colors, the pieces were produced by highly skilled Italian artisans who still use the old manual technique thousand years.
Like the stained glass, the pieces were designed for light to pass through them to change the look and feel of the space they are presented in.
