Skew House futuristic
The site is located 10 minutes or less walk from the nearest train station in Toride -town, Ibaraki. Before building there was no flat surface to architect mission was to build the house on the cliff. Mr. Ueda managed to build the extraordinary futuristic home in such difficult conditions
The skew house is a set of lightweight floating flat and volume anchor heavyweight. The apartment consists of steel lines and planes of wood; and the anchor is the volume of concrete. The apartment and the anchor are connected with very narrow corridor under the ground. The windows are becoming voids between the steel timber units; which are slots of physical materials.
The interior is anything but minimalist. Clear lines and milky white does the job, even if the walls of the rooms are not the traditional forms. They have a triangle shape that add just extraordinary touch to interior overall impression. minimalist interior that does not look like other minimalist interiors style is rare these days.
