Although this house is "tree house" that literally it does not make it less interesting. It has 2 floors and is located in a dense grove of pine and holly overlooking the bay near Fire Island, New York. All surfaces and the outer and inner wall cabinets are rough cutting cypress and the floor was bleached oak. First floor has room for guests and bathroom while the second floor has a master bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. The house does not have many large windows to create some intimacy close neighbors and reduce the intensity of southern sun. [Bates Masi Architects]
