Renovation House which reached the highest LEED in the area
LEED for Homes is a home system certification green to ensure the homes are designed and built to be energy and resource efficient and healthy for occupants. The renovation of the house is in Georgia and reached the first LEED Platinum certification in the region. It serves as a greener life model for the whole community and focuses on reducing energy consumption and reusing materials strongly. The project of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms has triple-glazed low-e argon windows, Energy Star LED lighting and compact fluorescent light bulbs and spray foam insulation. Other energy efficiency and water saving updates include a solar thermal hot water system with on demand loop of circulating hot water, dual-flush toilets and low flow plumbing fixtures, Energy Star Appliances, programmable thermostat with gas oven and high efficiency air conditioning, mechanical ventilation and a rainwater collection system for irrigation 5000 gallons. The necessary plumbing for the future use of gray water or rainwater for toilets, has also been installed. [Hammertime Construction]
