Pair of row houses connected with Courtyard Bamboo-Filled
Building Arts Workshop (Jeff Tracy and Prose) are those for which created The Street Orchid Cityhomes. These houses are not typical of the duplex. They share a common wall, a garage and a bamboo courtyard filled. Both units are in fact a mixture of wood siding, masonry, glass and sloped roofs and have two stories. quiet sense could be seen as inside homes like in their backyard. Both houses were clean, contemporary interior design with tons of natural light. The first floor of each house is open from front to back, and the second floor rooms are arranged around this central space of two floors. The dining room is the heart of the house, anchoring a double height space on which the upstairs hallway gives. Many environmentally techologies are implemented in the model homes. A wall filters rain rainwater screen, Radiant heating warms the surfaces, VRC draw in fresh air, which is filtered and heated before being released in and so on. The duplex is located in southwest Portland. [Building Arts Workshop]
