Modern Chalet In The Woods: Gambier Island House
How a cabin in the woods looking in your mind? A modern version of such a car is presented by the Vancouver studio MGB, it is composed of stacked glass boxes overlooking the sea. Stacked two volumes of the building are covered with wood, cement boards and glass were chosen to ease of assembly, and respond to environmental regulations on coastal construction. Sliding doors integrated into the open glass wall on a space provided on the lower level of the roof, which is surrounded by glazed railings to ensure an unobstructed view. The interiors feature douglas fir flooring that bring a feeling of warmth to spaces and introduce a natural element that complements the trees in the surrounding forest.
