Modern brick house that merges with Le Jardin
This project started from the list of owners of wishes and hopes for their new home to give Harquitectes studio. One of the main objectives was to achieve close and vital relationship between the house and the garden so that the two became an extension of the other, and it was done with the help of glass panels. The owners wanted to place the maximum number of coins on the ground floor while keeping the garden free of masonry work volumes. This idea is developed through a volumetric composition shaped in three boxes distributed in the garden, almost aligned and located in the northern part of the plot creating a large south facing outdoor area.
The spaces created between the three boxes are covered housed two different environments, open to the garden in the north-south direction and can be closed with large folding windows. These areas offer a very different atmosphere, much more related to the garden area of the house. About volumes, the house consists of three cubes of different heights brickwork set parallel to the back street. The interior decor is simple, modern and eye-catching: each room has a detail or more details that accentuate her. The reason for the masonry continues in the interior, too, and you can see bricks whitewashed in different rooms. The use of light-colored wood decor makes the house look comfier and warmer. The house is packed with a geothermal heat pump and heating system of floor slightly cools the house in summer, avoiding air conditioning system to dehumidify.
