Mid-Century Modern Design Apartment Filled with African art
The living room is serene and welcoming because of the glass wall and a warm color palette
Built in the late sixties in Madrid, this house has a spirit of that time, that's why when asked designer Ivan Garrido to renovate the apartment, the modern middle century became his priority.
to give more height in the spaces, suspended ceilings have been removed exposing the concrete beams. The walls and floors were finished in light colors that leave all the attention of paintings, sculptures and African masks. The furniture is partly in the 50s and partly in style with 60 illuminated keys
The living room is serene and the heating due to the color palette used :. Coral, beige, warm wood, amber and pink. Modern carpet mid-century echoes with these colors and fresh furniture designers make catchy, while a glass wall brings a lot of light. And just look at that pink sofa, is not that amazing?
The dining room is merged with the living room, it has the same colors, but the chairs and buffet are white. The area is accented with whimsical masks and a single bubble chandelier.
The kitchen is modern with all white concrete surfaces. The cabinets are white to visually enlarge the small space, the appliances are stainless steel and work surfaces and backsplash are concrete for functionality. The kitchen is accented with a fresh modern carpet in the middle of the century and an inspired art-Africa.
The main room is not big but is very comfortable, because of the large bedspread fur. white background is accented with various modern decorations mid-century in the same color scheme as everywhere in the house.
The bathroom is simple and elegant decorated with white marble and a large mirror that expands the tiny space.
