the work of Kim Markel left us puzzled at the architectural design Digest Show, making us long for a deeper look at how each piece Is made. Working in a foundry in the manufacture of Hudson Valley works for artists such as Jeff Koons, Matthew Barney, and Frank Stella, Markel started doing his own work. His experience in the public policy environment led his desire to produce work responsibly instead of adding all the new equipment in the world.

over a year, she found a combination of materials that were working on a mixture of old glasses, trays meals and soda bottles. Once glued with resin, the mixture is huge molds it does, then sanded and polished to translucent finish. The result is a whimsical collection of objects 'Glow', which includes colorful chairs, tables, wall mirrors, hand mirrors, and vases, each with an organic, handmade feel almost good enough to eat air.
