Floating Cedar House On The Side Of Lake Huron
Named Floating House by MOS Architects, the two-storey building offers a summer home on the Canadian side of Lake Huron. Thank you to the dock base, the house adapts to the changing water levels of the lake, up and down throughout the year. Externally the building is covered with a cedar plank rainscreen. The living areas are all located on the level above. The entrance leads directly into the kitchen, which functions as the main artery of the house. The living room and occupy large areas at both ends, while an office, bathrooms and storage spaces correspond between. Wood has been used throughout the interior to the floors, ceilings, furniture and joinery
