Energy House by Jackson Clements Burrows effective - Applecross House
Applecross is an elite suburb of Perth, Australia with beautiful views of Swan River. This family home which often hosts guests was designed by Jackson Clements Burrows. It is divided into two halves - Verandah (the west side of the house) and the casing (the east side of the house). The western side characterized by a double height space closed with operable louvers that control the levels of breakdown and natural shading. It is especially busy during the day and evening. The eastern side hosts the kitchen, garage, bedroom, office and bathroom. There is also the dining room and several lounges that flow into outer space. The translucent roof striped strips of wood and floors are a warm dark wood. Cross-ventilation cools spaces while passive solar heaters.
If you liked this house, you'll probably like other house designed by Jackson Clements Burrows called Kew House. [Jackson Clements Burrows]
