Desert Vacation House Design - Kaufmann House
The Kaufmann House is located in Palm Springs, California. It was first designed by Richard Neutra in 1946 and recently renovated by Marmol Radizner practice of architecture. Many critics put the house among the most important houses of the 20th century in the United States and was even included in a list of all time top 10 houses in Los Angeles in December 08. It has five bedrooms and five bathrooms bathroom and designed to emphasize the connection between rugged desert and a suburban residential area. The large sliding glass walls open living areas and master bedroom outside. Most outdoor areas have mobile vertical fins that offer flexible protection against sandstorms and intense heat. The house itself is a great holiday retreat desert harsh winters.
