convertible adjacent houses with Wood Clad Top by Sebastian Mariscal
ocean views from La Jolla, San Diego Southern California sun was the main things to consider for Sebastian Mariscal studio architecture while designing these two identical adjacent houses. The structure of each house is very balanced thanks to their arrangement and used materials. sublevel concrete form the base while the main level is surrounded by full height glass panels that create a continuous outer space connected with ocean views and has public spaces such as the kitchen and the dining room. A high level of suspended Ipe wood veneer holds rooms and functions as the canopy. The landscape around the house helps maintain the privacy of home while providing enough space for large outdoor living space with great views. [Sebastian Mariscal Architect]
