Concrete Box House with glass platform on top
De Blas House is placed on top of a hill north facing with views of the mountains near Madrid. The house consists of concrete building box as a platform with a transparent glass box covered by a delicate and light steel structure painted in white on it. The box in situ concrete like a cave houses the living spaces of a traditional house separated for private and public spaces. The glass box placed on the platform like a cottage is a gazebo where one goes inside the house. The concrete box is 9 by 27 meters while the glass box is 4.5 x 9 meters by 2.26 meters high. The house tries to be a literal transaction tectonic questions and stereotomic: a tectonic piece on a stereotomic box. [Alberto Campo Baeza]
