Concrete and steel Modern Interior Design
This interior is an excellent example of how modern 1930 could be home to inside. The house of 20 square feet is located on the site exposed above the city on Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Although the interior is elegant, muscular and contemporary, it is also arcades and Mediterranean-style tile roof. Concrete and steel were added to the interior during the renovation of the house. Coutertops, sinks, tubs, fireplaces and most of the walls are concrete. The walnut was used for flooring, cabinets and a large dining table. When renovating many rooms have been refurbished to capture more light. A two-story concrete wall on the lower level features a beautiful waterfall that flows into a pool. [Schuchart/Dow]
