BIRK Coffee Table Inspired by Domino Boxes
What are four half circles do?
They form designer Iselin Lindmark coffee table Dubland prototype BIRK. A student at Bergen Academy of Art and Design, Dubland BIRK created to house all the various elements that usually accumulate on top of a coffee table out of sight in a creative and delightful way.
The panel consists of four half -cercles: one at each end, the other to fill the pink storage space, and the last green bin is based on. The board consists of Valchromat and gently slips under the tray on the tracks, leaving just enough space for a cup of coffee. It also slides completely in a way that recalls the old boxes of Domino wood and can be used separately as a tray on your couch. Storage space is lined with 100% wool to protect hard objects scratches. The rest of the table is made using birch veneer and solid birch legs, all made by Dubland in the workshop of his school
Dubland BIRK began at the Stockholm Furniture Fair and Light 2016.
