The Kloof Road House is a single family house located at the foot of a natural reserve Bedfordview, South Africa. Each room in the house opens to the outside, connecting the garden. Morphed steel elements wrap around the frame of the house with a sculptural and eye catching look. Steel, glass and concrete, and the three main materials used for this project. The interiors are done in a chic minimalist style, very terse and catchy, and the color palette is bleak. In addition to being concerned about the functionality and appearance of the residence, the architects also focused on energy efficiency. They have incorporated a heating system by the water based sol connected to the solar panels and heat pump.
