Small Swiss Chalet in Honey Blonde Wood
Another Alpine eye-candy for you! This cottage by architect based in Geneva, Pictet Charles is located in the valley Ormonts, Switzerland. The architect had to overcome a host of construction constraints and site challenges when he designed this little cottage. The wood of the blond honey used throughout is a lighter and more modern take on the wooden interiors of traditional chalets, while low ceilings and huge fireplace give the space a warmth and comfort that will surely be appreciated after a day outdoors in the snow. Most of all I love the fireplace space - absolutely minimalistic and modern, but very comfortable and welcoming
