Renovation of Mid-Century Modern House aesthetic
Located in the Olympic Manor neighborhood in Seattle shows that house owners love to mid modern aesthetic design combined with materials brought industrial century. Originally built in 1950 this house was recently renovated with the addition of first floor kitchen, family room and an office above a new basement daylight with a suite of the main bedroom. The family includes three boys for such additional areas better access floors both above and below the back yard was needed. territorial views better and bringing natural light to the existing part of the house were also achieved. The addition was mainly built in glass, aluminum, exposed concrete and galvanized steel. Only its roof is made of wood in order to better with the existing look. [BAAN Design]
