Modular Mansion both strong architectural and economy
This house is an exploration into how to create a building both a strong architectural character and economy. It is designed by Parsonson Architects and located on Pekapeka Beach, New Zealand. The building is a modular rectangular building with a very simple form. The plan is a rectangle and is divided into 3 parts, forms strong room at each end support a floating roof over the living space in between. This provision allows the living room to face both east and west of the hills to the sea. It lets the sun in the house all day, for passive solar heating of the concrete slab and creates a protected outdoor area on the east side, which still maintains a strong connection with the views of the West sea. {} Parsonson Architects
