Mexican Cascading House Embedded in a context Hilltop
Presiding over the surrounding hills, Toucan House, a new 400 m² family house the company Taller Mexico Hector Barrosa, elegantly cascades down steep site in a series of four volumes terraces. The linear plot with a slope of 14 meters was a challenge, leading the strategic arrangement of the first volume, a garage and a store, to form a private frontage at the lower street, with the remaining three volumes nestled in the hilly terrain behind it, maximizing panoramic views of Valle. The pavilions are "interrupted" by landscaped gardens, terraces, balconies and terraces, dissolving the boundaries between architecture and landscape. The interior design is modern with lots of integrated local wood to merge with the exterior.
