House with swimming pool on the roof that collects rainwater
Bodrum is a city in Turkey with a rich history and a large marina. Global architectural development designed this unusual home there. It consists of three separate buildings of 75 square meters are built next to each other with a narrow space between the two and is bound by a glass atrium. Each has a separate function: a master bedroom and bathroom; kitchen and dining room; and a guesthouse with a bathroom adjacent study. The central glass hall acts as the entrance to the building, and the main living area with 180 ° views of the beautiful landscape and the bay made possible by large windows.
The open-plan main house ensures that it is light and airy, a must in summer. The roof is covered with pools that collect rainwater. Water cascades from the roof of one building to another and is then distributed round back, creating a natural cooling system to a warm climate. [GAD]
