Vienna design collective mostlikely modeled this Alpine lodge in Kitzbühel, Austria, the agricultural barn wood surrounding mountain villages. Named The Barn, the three-story house includes a bare concrete base rather than bricks and wooden upper section with a gently sloping roof that helps prevent a large accumulation of snow. I love the contrast between a barn rather exterior and modern spacious interiors. The interiors are something between modern and mid-century, with buttons and colorful accents; the wood used is light. A wood stove is located between the kitchen and the dining room while the glass doors open onto a large balcony terrace.
