Curved modern extension of a traditional house
An extension always refreshes the look of the house. Elmo Swart Architects have completed a magnificent modern addition to a traditional house with thatched roof in Durban, South Africa. This bright addition, angular and open adds space for privacy, both provide a clear view of the natural lot around the house. The modern extension of the old house with a thatched roof is quite a contrast to the original design. The interior of the house is comfortable and cool, a continuation of the natural sensitivity of the exterior design. For the design inside the wood, glass and cork was used. While the exterior is contemporary, the interior is more traditional to continue the theme of the main house; it is a kind of classic wooden furniture, you might have found in the house the original thatched roof.
