This compact New York apartment full of vintage highlights and it was refined by Reddymade design. Located in a 1910 building that was converted into a co-op in the late 1980s, the apartment is a compact 725 square feet. The owners live in Los Angeles in a modern house in the middle of the century, when they wanted the same style for retirement Manhattan.
The designers have created a house in the middle of the century with clean lines and simple touches of decoration by adding Japanese flavor here and there. The color palette is soothing and natural - white, beige, buttermilk, various earthy hues and just reasons, for example, a carpet on the living room floor. Chic and refinement was given with the types of wood luxury, all-natural textiles and other fancy touches. The house is full of various modern furniture mid-century by various designers and there are some lovely pieces of art, too.
In the living room sofa by designer Milo Baughman of midcentury estimated joined a lounge chair Bambi Norwegian designers Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling. The pendant light is the Mori Leaf Rich Brilliant Willing model. Matthew Viederman architect designed new finishes for floors, baths and kitchen. Team Reddy directed the selection of furniture and joinery radiators.
The dining room set was designed by Danish deisgner midcentury Hans Olsen. It is illuminated by a pair of pendants Mori Gourd, also by Rich Brilliant Willing. A significant piece of art by Dana Louise Kirkpatrick and Bernie Taupin anchor the show. In the office, office 1950 by Paul McCobb is completed by Eames chair and Boi desk lamp by David Weeks Studio. The lighted mirror is a song called "Through the Looking Glass" by Earl Reiback.
The Hi Single bed by Formstelle defines the bedroom, which also has a custom nightstand by Reddymade Design, Levo candle holders by Cerno, a Moroccan carpet vintage and a pendant Isamu Noguchi.
the president, by the Danish designer Arne Hovmand-Olsen, was bought by Wright. the dresser came from Chairish.
Japanese touches were added with sculptural lights reminiscent of Japanese paper lanterns and with clean lines and overall, which is characteristic of Japanese decor.
