Blue-Black Monochrome Duplex Renovated Victorian in Envelope A + D
Clipper Street Residence is a redesigned by the envelope a + D Victorian duplex in tatters - two stacked apartments with a typical series of dark rooms cell - in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. After the redesign looks like he was visited by Space Invaders with a blue-black exterior monochrome. Almost all the scores in both apartments were cleared to take advantage of natural light and openness. The lower level is a creative studio while the second level has been developed in the kitchen / living / dining space. The floor and ceiling were pared back its rough surfaces, exposing the volume of the gable roof with its links of rough sawn collars and raw redwood planks from the underside of the roof.
