Living in the middle of the forest: Glazed Tepozcuautla House
Nestled in the hills of Mexico City, the Chamber Tepozcuautla consists of two concrete body - one for services and one for most of the main areas of the house - connected by steel bridges and stairs cantilevered. Stairs and bridges give the illusion of walking on the vegetation below, all without interfering with the surrounding flora for maximum durability. The body of the house itself are protected from the elements while simultaneously opening up the gardens and sunny terraces. The structure of the support system consists of concrete, metal and wooden beams, all of which allow large spans opening in the house while keeping the building skeleton in full screen.
