Forest house inside - House Orchard by Chang Architects
Located in Singapore this house combines concrete, glass, wood, steel and elements of nature such as plants and trees. It has interchangeable rooms floating in a larger volume of space. This volume is mounted in a terrace of land with a top 2 floors retaining wall at the back, which was turned into a cascade of rollers which opens to the sky. Below, a pond that collects rainwater includes the living room. Everywhere around the house different plants and trees are. Living in such a place is like living in a forest in the middle of the city. Even a microclimate is different from normal homes. [Chang Architects, via: worldarchitecturenews]
