Which living space can be created on only 425 square feet? An incredible loft! Specht Harpman Architects managed to create a spacious loft apartment in a rather awkward in New York City. By creating "life platforms", they were able to accommodate all the needs of an apartment might need while keeping the bright open space. The compact bathroom is hidden on the lower floor under the stairs. Although the kitchen is small, it is open to the living room. They kept the cabinets and white counters that helps keep light and airy. Until the first set of stairs you have the chamber layer that almost seems to float above the living room below. and there is plenty of storage space under the stairs.! What a great job
