Tudor House transformed into a luxurious modern home
From a bland 1930 Tudor home in downtown Toronto removed the owners gable roof and added a window-a "light" monitor on the roof angle as those that have exceeded the first factories of the 20th century. The kitchen and lounge are built around a large fireplace gray brick, while the kitchen cabinets by Bulthaup designed with glossy white laminate, providing a smooth counterpoint. It is a subtle blend of lux and attic, nowhere more than in the main bathroom on the second floor. A curvaceous Victoria + Albert Bath rests on the ground, but the real luxury is in the shower adjacent storey, illuminated above the monitor light on the roof - more of a spa-like experience.
