a pool on the roof of this concrete house by the Brazilian studio MK27 office is located in the dense cover of a coastal rainforest in the state of São Paulo. The introduction of this house to the landscape aims to optimize the connection between architecture and nature, emphasizing the view overlooking the ocean and the incidence of sunlight into interior spaces. So to enjoy the picturesque landscape, the architects placed the primary living spaces next to the pool at the highest floor of the building.

The rooms are set in the main volume of the house - a marked edge concrete block which is raised on a wooden deck, but one end resting on a stone step on the field. The large wooden terrace sheltered under the body of the house offers a shaded playground for children of the family, and a small block of wood covered with a side houses a games room and public interior parts services. Inside the stairwell, textured concrete walls are illuminated by a work of art by the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson.
