This Fitzroy North, Melbourne, Australia house went through a major renovation by Dan Gayfer design that adapted the house for a young family. The lot covers only five meters wide and the owners did not want to compromise on space and functionality for just a location downtown. To encourage interaction, cornices, steps, salons, and benches were built for people to sit as a way to encourage conversation and activities. Particular attention has been paid to space, layout and lighting to help promote functionality and give the illusion of more space.
